I'm a trauma-focused psychotherapist with a virtual practice based in Los Angeles, CA. My treatments include talk therapy, eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness exercises.
As a woman of color, child immigrant, and proud ally, I’ve dedicated my clinical career to empowering diverse populations, particularly those from BIPOC and LGBTQ communities. I’m also passionate about working with individuals who have experienced trauma, whether it be from childhood abuse/neglect, sexual assault, domestic violence, or from systemic oppression.
I earned my master’s in social work from Columbia University in NYC in 2005. Prior to starting my private practice, I provided mental health services in NYC schools and hospitals. I also served as a faculty member in the social work graduate program at California State University, Fullerton, training future social workers and therapists.
So what’s it like to work with me? My therapeutic style is grounded in curiosity, pragmatism, and compassion. I have a genuine desire to understand and explore your personal experiences. We’ll work collaboratively to dig deeper and learn more about you through engaging conversations. I don’t just sit back and nod - I do bring a little humor and a touch of colorful language to the discussions at times. I’m also committed to providing honest and transparent feedback that gets to the heart of the matter. You’ll be empowered with valuable insights and practical life-long coping tools to help you manage whatever it is you’re going through.
I invite you to contact me to learn more about my practice.
